Although Tokyo is very densely populated, I find it perhaps the most efficient and pleasant city to be in. The city is clean, public transportation is fast and reliable, and delicious fast food can be found everywhere. I enjoyed just wandering the streets and riding the subways, delighting at all the cute items in the stores, and eating the fabulous food.

Akihabara, the electronics district

Shopping promenade in the Asakusa district

The Senso-ji Temple

Distant view of the imperial palace - off limits to tourists

Teenagers dress in outlandish costumes to hang out in Harajuku on Sundays

My favorite - a standup noodle bar in the subway. Have a quick, healthy bite for $3 and be done in 10 minutes!
